Oracle
Oracle is the debut EP from Junji, a project by Will Matsuda, a multi-instrumentalist living in Portland, Oregon. Written and recorded during 2020, the EP is both a reflection and an invocation.
Will recorded the EP in a small basement bedroom, where for a few hours each night, he didn’t have to think about what was happening outside. Drifting synthesizers and choppy samples combine to create a dark, dreamy, and at times apocalyptic atmosphere. “I was interested in the idea of finding beauty in what felt like the end of the world,” said Matsuda.
